Abstract:
This paper is focused on air quality (AQ) in relation with meteorological parameters at an urban station. The purpose was to evaluate the relevance of temperature and wind influence in contributing to the Particulate Matter (PM10) concentrations. The pollutant concentrations were measured by using gravitational system. An Environment Automatic Weather Station located in the same site in Bucharest (44.43N; 26.10E) was used to obtain meteorological parameters. The radiation fluxes were also computed. The results have shown the daily and weekly variation of the pollutant concentrations related to temperature variation. The increase of the wind intensity determined the decrease of the PM10 concentration. The uncertainty and accuracy of the concentration and temperature values was also investigated.
