Abstract:
Virtual labs are often used in physics classes. The present work uses Google Flot (a pure Javascript plotting library for jQuery) in order to make an online interface for virtual physics lab. Two such interfaces have been built to study the movement of ions in Paul and Penning traps. Students can choose storage parameters, mass and charge of the ion, the trajectory initial conditions and integration time. After calculating the trajectory, 2D graphical interface allows viewing of any two parameters of the trajectory. For example can be represented dependencies: x (t), y (t), z (t), y (x), z (x), vx (x), vy (y), and vz (z).
