Abstract:
A SPE based on CNT functionalized with porphyrine was investigated for determination of neurotransmitters presence. CNT are evaluated as transducers and immobilization support for porphyrines. CNT were functionalized with porphyrines and then electrodeposited on gold-working electrode in SPE. Modification of the working electrode with CNT-porhyrines changed the sensing characteristics decreasing the oxidation potential. SPE have been characterized by Raman spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. The novelty in this field consists in using CNT as transducers to amplify the sensitivity of porphyrines in the presence of neurotransmitters, such as dopamine or serotonin.
