Abstract:
The aim of the article is to review some of the general considerations concerning an original and rational of teaching sciences approach, known as integrated conceptual sciences. Initially known as a teaching physics method, its extended application in sciences teaching may be a further reference point for a new teaching sciences approach in Romanian National Curriculum. It is well known the constant interest decrees in teaching and studying physics in Romania as well in the European space. This fact has a direct impact in the physics teaching quality with negative consequences in acquiring minimum required science competences of students. This trend will directly affect the preuniversitary teaching level by the lack of skillful teachers, and not less important, the labor market and scientific research. One of the causes identified is the altered experimental approach of teaching physics, as well as by ignoring the scientific specific demarche in teaching physics and in the other sciences teaching. Further more the lack of necessary conceptual linkage between scientific disciplines drive to an incomplete and lacunars scientific students’ education. The integrated conceptual sciences propose a conceptual net built inside each discipline, as well as a transdiciplinary one. The article presents the principles of this method and some arguments not for a further replacement of separate discipline teaching, but as a complementary discipline aimed to complete the scientific student education in an attractive accessible and comprehensive way towards the all-educative compulsory education cycle.
