Abstract:
For various tin isotopes we employ a transport model based on Vlasov equation to investigate the isovector modes. We consider various initial conditions and we test if the neutron skin oscillations against the core manifest collective features. We conclude that our approach indicates the existence of a collective mode with an energy centroid around 8-9 MeV, below the value observed for the Giant Dipole Resonance for the same systems and employing similar calculations. The role of the symmetry energy on the neutron skin properties and on the dynamics of various collective modes is also discussed.
