Abstract:
High-temperature thermostat TS-3000К intended for investigation of material atom dynamics at temperatures up to 3000 К in FLNP JINR at the channel two of the IBR-2 reactor (DIN - 2PI experimental facility) was installed. In the paper the basic characteristics of the thermostat and the results of the neutron measurements on standard Tantalum sample at different temperatures are discussed. The measurements carried out have proven the capabilities of the термостат TS-3000K to investigate dynamics of atoms of refractory materials at high temperatures, at least down to 2400 K. The ways of the further perfection of the design of working chamber in view of the optimization of facility experimental parameters which are capable to result in appreciable improvement of quality of the received results are considered.
