Abstract:
This lecture is intended as a general presentation, including the major open questions for astroparticle physics and the experimental directions in solving these problems in the next generation of underground experiments proposed in Europe The new underground detectors, with a total mass up to 1 Mtons will provide new and unique scientific opportunities in this field, very likely leading to fundamental discoveries and will propose new and innovative experimental solutions.
