Abstract: The article deals with a study on the teaching of physics in Romania, which highlighted the poor readjustment of teaching methods to learning styles and the excessive use of traditional methods of teaching and learning, which can be the origin of the difficult acquiring of physics. In order to improve the teaching of introductory physics courses, some innovative methods have recently been developed including: MBL, STUDIO, the computer simulated animation - used in lectures and the use of electronic devices to interconnect the students and the teachers in the classroom. The choice of the most effective teaching methods may be facilitated by using the MBTI, VARK or the thinking hats indicators. The article presents two examples of correlation between the VARK indicators and the innovative teaching methods.
