Abstract:
Although the transmission coefficient of the one-dimensional double delta - function potential has been calculated in the past by several authors, and the position of its maxima were located, the corresponding energies were not connected with the position of resonances in the complex-energy plane. These resonances can be easily found by solving a system of two coupled transcendental equations. These resonances were studied recently \1\ in a systematic way, for different parameters of the potential (distance between the singularities and intensity). We find that the behaviour of the transmission coeficient can be well connected with the position of the resonances, even when their width is relatively large. \1\ Ciprian Chirila, master thesis, Bucharest 2001
