Abstract: This paper is focused on Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) into a metallurgic industrial hall. The purpose was to evaluate the relevance of indoor air in contributing to the overall exposure by inhalation of the workers. Physical environmental parameters such as air temperature, relative humidity, and Particulate Matter (PM10 and PM2.5) concentrations are all interrelated, to determine the environment quality. The vertical distribution of the pollutants was also investigated by collecting samples at four levels from lower level to highest level (27m) of the hall. The measurements showed large PM concentrations especially during the discharging of the furnaces. The dispersion is very slow and consequently this type of pollution affects larger areas at the same level of the hall. The results showed that the basic components, namely thermal comfort and the pollutant concentrations have important effects on the indoor air quality.
