Abstract:
The fast evolutions of science and technology impose the refreshing of the curriculum by introducing some new concepts, so that the students should face any challenge after graduation. Due to the positive impact on the society, the nanotechnologies have raised a great interest lately. In order to make known the opportunities of this domain, it is necessary that the nanotechnology concepts be introduced in the school curriculum as soon as possible. The success of such a step reflected in the stimulation of students’ interest and motivation for studying the subject, is highly influenced by the didactic methods used in the teaching-learning process. The study described in this paper proves the fact that the project-based method is the most recommendable for introducing these new concepts. The analysis of the differences between the initial and final assessment indicates the fact that the students’ performances, knowledge, competences and abilities have significantly increased when using the project-based method.
