Abstract: The e-learning involves organizational changes in the educational process, methodological reappraisals in teaching-learning-assessmet, teachers` specialization. The teacher`s competences are diversified: meaning tehnical competences, or didactical competences, or even special competences. TIC (The Tehnology of Information and Communication) shows the teacher`s role and its complexity –the teacher is, first of all, a guide; the teacher makes the student accomplish some tasks, but also the teacher gives the students the responsibility to adapt himself or herself to some abilities which the students must have. The guide is seen as an intermediary who watches the learning process, or as an expert in the problems which help the student. The online guide is a new image who leads the activity (the internet or intranet or his equivalent in a company). The guide is the most important person in the teaching process. It’s about a new job, where professional traditions are subdued to a continuous process of revision and assessment because of the tehnological changes. These changes are connected with the evolution of the society and the teaching processes are very important, especially for young persons. Having a facility function, the guide has the chance to contribute to make the young people have the necessary liberty and have trust in their own options. Thus, the teacher’s role is changed: from lecturer to counselor, to a guide role being at the same time, a purveyor of the didactic resources; the teachers become the "designers" of the teaching experiments, passing over the quality of teaching; the teachers offers the students only a first frame of their activity, encouraging their own/personal orientation. The teachers present the teaching contents from different perspectives, underlining only the most important problems of study. The teacher becomes a member of the study group. A great importance is given to the students learning methods. The traditional teaching methods are not enough for a good teaching-learning process. C.A.I and e-learning, used creative and effective, can offer a real support, to improve the students learning process. There are different roles for every teacher’s function, but, the teacher must accomplish them and the teacher must also involve all the skills and work at his/her own personal and professional activity.
