Abstract:
We have had obtained the temperature of a cold hollow cathode electric discharge (HCED) plasma by fitting the experimental rotational spectra of the vibrational-rotational N2 first negative system (FNS) and of second positive system (SPS) sequences, with the simulate spectra of the same plasma. With the accordance of the rotational temperature from different rotational transitions , with an accuracy of 10%, we found a local thermodynamic equilibrium (LTE) in a cold HCED plasma.
