Abstract:
Defects determining the electrical properties of the organic monomeric Coper Phthalocyanine (CuPc) thin films, have been investigated by Space-Charge-Limited-Currents (SCLC) measurements and Thermally Stimulated Current (TSC) technique, respectively. The thin films of CuPc, with the thickness of 300 nm have been prepared by thermal vacuum evaporation on glass substrate at room temperature. The measured Current-Voltage (I-V) Characteristics, shows that under low-voltages, the Ohm’s law is followed and at high-applied voltage, there is a space-charge-limited conductivity (SCLC) controlled by an exponential trap distribution. Further using the SCLC and TSC techniques, respectively, the parameters characterizing all the detected traps were determined.
