Abstract:
The general theory of relativity is not used in practice for real time calculus of positions of planets. For this is used classical mechanics.By modifying Newton`s gravitational potential we can obtain different results for the motion of planets. Our aim in this paper is to observe the differences between reality and some classical potentials ( Laplace, Decombe, Bertrand, Tisserand...), and to see which might be the one that will give us the best results in minimal time. For this purpose we will use computer simulation of the positions of planets in a given interval of time and have qualitative and quantitative measurement of this differences.
