Abstract:
The object this paper is to explain various thermal and non-thermal effects induced to biological structures by the irradiation with MMW electromagnetic field (30 GHz – 300 GHz), and the goal is to prepare an non-invasive therapy for disease like: superficial skin burn, superficial skin infections or to study the effects on tumor cancer cells. For this we study the dielectric properties of biological medium like: cells, organic tissue or other organs present in the human body. Here, we established the main measure for characterization of irradiation intensity: SAR (specific rate absorption), complex electric permittivity, conductivity, etc. Also, we make a comparative study for thermal measurements between two detections systems: CCD infrared camera and termistor sensor, with proper thermal configurations induced by the MMW waveguide in biological structures.
