Abstract:
In the last decade, nanotechnology gained a large interest for scientists, due to the various applications in many fields: medicine, healthcare, optoelectronics, biotechnology, bioengineering and so on. Our study presents a protocol consisting of two preparation variants aimed to design new bionanocomposites, based on biomimetic membranes and carbon nanotubes, as promising nanovectors for biomedical applications. Unilamellar liposomes (ULVs) were prepared by thin film hydration method, followed by an ultrasonic irradiation. Chla embedded into some of the lipid bilayers was used as a spectral marker to monitor the changes occurred within liposomal membrane. Single walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) have been added to liposome suspensions in different SWCNTs /liposomes massic ratios. The biocomposites were investigated by spectral methods (UV-VIS absorption and emission, DLS).
