Abstract:

JavaScript is a scripting language that is taught to students studying Bioinformatics at the Faculty of Physics, University of Bucharest. This language is taught as a scripting language before Perl, the language of bioinformatics, especially due to its accessibility.From the earliest years of teaching this course a web interface for coding and testing JavaScript code was designed. Year after year this interface has been enhanced and updated. With this interface the student can edit and execute JavaScript code directly in the browser page.
