Abstract:
Counterattacking climate changes involves politics that encourage the use of renewable energy sources. For this, the involvement of the decision-making parties, on one side, and of citizens, investors, scientist and experts in various aspects of the development and implementation of renewable energies, on the other side, is needed. An essential step in this process is that of the society becoming aware of all available choices (“Choice Awareness”) through the promotion and un-manipulated debate of the ideas that sustain the implementing of renewable energies. Debates with positive results can take place only for technical solutions based on the principles of energy economy, renewable sources and increasing efficiency, as well as solid economical feasibility studies. The sum of all these factors can lead to radical technological change that involves at least two of the four elements defining a technological system (technique, knowledge, organisation and products).
