Abstract:
We analyze and compare different theoretical approaches and their predictions for the laser modified electron bremsstrahlung in a potential field. The laser is monochromatic and linearly polarized and the incident electron direction is along the laser polarization. In the framework of the nonrelativistic low laser frecuency approximation (Rosenberg and Zhou, 1993) we study the emitted photon spectral distribution as function of the electromagnetic field parameters (frequency and intensity). The shift of the tip position and the frequency region beyond the tip in the absence of the laser are investigated in detail for the case of a Coulomb field.
