Abstract: The use of renewable energy for pumping water for various purposes, began by converting wind energy into mechanical energy by the US multiblades “windmills” , used for pumping water from deep; the dutch windmills were used to pump water from canals. In present, modern technologies of “green” power generation by the photovoltaics or wind generators led to the development of water pumping technologies using green energy. We are studying this application to obtain a reasonable energy efficiency at lower cost than market offers. This report shows the solar and wind power obtained and stored in storage batteries, used for various applications: lighting, TV, refrigerator and a water pump power of 300 W (220 V, 50 Hz). This application works in Baloteşti-Ilfov. Green energy produced is greater than the power consumers, imposing expanding to other consumers. Also it will describe the function of a “classic” pump 220V, 50 Hz AC 600 w (used under the name KAMA) supplied with DC voltage from solar panels or wind turbine that gave surprising results from pumping. We will present the theory of solar pumps "air-cooled pumps", using pentane not soluble in water, as heat. We will perform a cost-performance evaluation.
