Abstract:
Recent experimental results from RHIC provide clear evidences for the creation of quark-gluon plasma (QGP) with significant collective features, close to an ideal fluid, contrary to previous expectations. The scaling properties of the elliptic flow with the valence quark number strongly suggest the manifestation of quark degrees of freedom. We have solved numerically a Boltzman-Vlasov transport equation that includes both two-body collisions and the chiral phase transition by mean of Nambu-Jona-Lasinio interaction. This approach enable us to study the role of chiral phase transition on the QGP fireball expansion.
