Abstract:
This paper discusses some aspects of the general theory of the nature of cosmic rays at sea - level. Using data from previous experiments in nuclear physics and astrophysics, studies of cosmic rays has given significant impact on the elementary particle physics.Various aspects of studies of the cosmic rays at sea – level are reviewed, and, in particular, to assume that the muons production spectrum is represented by an exponential expression over a certain range of muons momentum. In conclusion, the data show that the number muons at sea – level to be dependent on the muon momentum. Cosmic radiation is one of the contributors to the natural radiation environment. Applications of interest include dosimetry ( radiation effects, exposure, effective dose) and all other aspects of ionizing radiation. Finally, the study is based on o term dose calculation which has permitted to analyse the effects caused by the existence of the muons at sea – level. The summary concludes that at sea- level, the annual exposure level is about 0.03 mSv, whereas at air transport altitudes it can reach several microSv per hour.
