Abstract: Laser printing of polymers using a dynamic release layer is reported in this study, where optimal parameters for obtaining well defined pixels of polymer are established.
By combining the specificity of LIFT process in transfer on different surfaces, the improvements in acquiring clean transfer given by the use of triazene layer (Dynamic Release Layer) and the ability to use different parameters (laser parameters, film thickness) in a controlled manner; reproducibility of the process, a sensitive and functional matrix of different polymers can be obtained in a fast way.
The final aim of this study is integrating chemoselective polymers (i.e. Polyethylenimine (PEI), Polyisobutilene (PIB)) into a transducer or a matrix of transducers.
The transfer of polymer patterns has an increased interest not only for chemical sensors applications, but also for biomedical applications and tissue engineering.
