Abstract:
The high temperature facility TS-3000K is aimed for researches on the structure and dynamics of condensed matter at temperatures up to 3000K (fission reactor materials, superionic materials, liquid metals, etc.) by methods of elastic, quasi-elastic and inelastic scattering of neutrons. The Termostat TS-3000K is operating at the DIN-2PI spectrometer installed on the channel two of the IBR-2 reactor. The heating assembly consists of the heater made from Tantalum or Tungsten and a system of up to 10 screens of Tantalum plates surrounding the heater. New investigations have been performed by means of TS-3000K at DIN-2PI spectrometer on Vanadium and Tantalum at different temperatures. The spectra measured at high temperature on Vanadium and Tantalum by the aid of specific computing programs for time of flight technique were processed. After data processing the experimental structure factor Sexp (q) was derived.
