Abstract:
The air pollution affects the human and environment health. In the field of this important problem the dispersion models of the pollutants represent a tool to control the pollution. The aim of this paper is to prove the role of air dispersion models in mitigation of the pollution within industrial area. The OML (Operationelle Meteorologiske Luftkvalibets-modeller) used in this study is a Gaussian-type model. The OML improves the methods for the simulation of dispersion processes in terms of certain physical parameters, with importance to boundary layer turbulence. The model run for the real environmental conditions, including in the input data the reduced emissions with 20% and 40%. The pollutant sources include both the plumes and the urban traffic. The results of simulation show that the limit values are exceeded in case of the reduced emissions with 20% and they are in the European standard in case of 40%.
