Today many advanced technologies and techniques come into a new field of application - artwork restoration. Dedicated optical equipment and laser techniques are among most interesting preoccupations of a large number of specialists. Initial reservation towards the new technology and its appearance as a competitor rather than an advanced tool in the hands of the end-users is now surpassed.
Present work shows a complex optical system for special application of restoration. This equipment is very useful for metallic structures inside investigation, for fine treatments in difficult accessible places as complicate ornaments (on frontons, wall decorations, wood sculptures etc.).
Main parts of this system are optical path for image`s pick-up from distance, optical path for object space illumination, laser propagation path, and optical path for digital image storage and processing.
Present paper indicates optical arrangements, all technical features, and advantages of this structure and experimental results on specific materials.
