Abstract:
The optical properties of clouds, critical to planetary albedo, are partly determined by the cloud condensation nuclei (CCN) distribution on which they form. The CCN distribution is a subset of the aerosol distribution which ranges from 0.001 to over 100micrometri. The aim of the present paper is to determine the dependence of cloud albedo for the CCN distributions, related to different aerosol classes. The albedo of both the maritim and continental clouds was computed. The characteristics of the clouds were specified. The results show that albedo increases with the increasing of the CCN concentration and the radiative forcing due to the cloud albedo increases in polluted regions.
