Abstract:
The physical proprieties of the droplets containing antibiotics (BG1120 and Doxorubicin) with measured spectral properties are reported. The studies have shown the adsorption behaviour of the drug molecules at liquid-air and provided information concerning the wetting properties (contact angle measurements) at liquid-solid interfaces of the solutions in the concentration range of medical interest. The measurements have shown: 1. The equilibrium values of the surface tensions dynamics are constant in time and equal for all concentrations of the solutions (they do not depend on the solution concentrations); 2. The equilibrium values of the contact angles of the droplets on superhydrophobic surfaces do not depend on the solution concentrations and are close to those of the pure water values. In this case the droplets do not wet the surface, having a good compatibility with it from the point of view of the droplet manipulation. 3. The equilibrium values of the contact angles of the droplets on hydrophobic surfaces do not depend on the solution concentrations and are nearly as high as for the pure water values.
