Abstract:
A two-component solution, containing rod-like molecules of AA and BB type and described by a generalized Wheeler-Widom model defined on a honeycomb lattice is considered. On each site of the lattice the molecular ends exhibit three-body interactions that depend on the possible bonding between AA and AB molecular ends, but no bonding between BB molecular ends. The general expressions for the average number of triangles of AAA, BBB, ABA, and BAB types are obtained in the canonical conditions (constant numbers of AA and BB molecules). Using Monte-Carlo simulations the number of each possible set of triangle numbers were determined, resulting the average number for each the triangle type as function of the temperature. The previous results allow to construct a physical interpretation for the molecular configuration of the system.
