Abstract:
For 15 years, the Hadron Electron Ring Accelerator (HERA) at Deutsches Elektronen Synchrotron (DESY) has gathered measurement data from the collision of electrons and protons. There are still years required to finish processing and analysing the accumulated data before one can conclude and give a better picture of proton and fundamental forces of nature. The experience and knowledge acquired here will offer a faster and better method of investigation for near future experiments as the ones at Large Hadron Collider, CERN. Monte Carlo simulations data were obtained using PYTHIA as particles interaction generator for electron / positron - proton interactions. Cross section for charged and neutral current interactions and various kinematic variables were studied.
