Abstract: The aim of this work is to study the dry ground deposition of the pollutants under various atmospheric conditions using different models and analytical solutions.
The analytical solutions based on K-theory given by Rao (1981) and by Zanetti (1990) for an elevated continuous point source have been included in a Gaussian integrated puff model and the model have been run for different stability classes.
The influence of the horizontal, , and vertical, , dispersion parameters parameterized based on a convective scaling, on dry deposition has been also tested.
The comparison of the simulated ground deposition values with the field observations at different downwind distances for various settling and deposition velocities clearly show the importance of the parameterizations used by the models and the necessity of improving them further.
