Abstract:
The main interest in plasma devices building is to increase the plasma density. This parameter insures a good efficiency of plasma utilization. The hollow cathode effect (HCE) is a successful enterprise for the plasma technologies [1,2]. We present in this work the triple cathode geometry discharge with HCE and the external parameters of plasma: breakdown voltages, I-V characteristics. Experiments have been performed in air at pressures in the range 0.05-1 Torr and electrode gap 4-10 cm. By optical emission spectroscopy we determined the rotational and vibrational temperature of molecules which is of great interest in many applications. References 1.
