Abstract:
The polymerization of aniline (ANI) was investigated in many works due to the interest for the its polymer–polyaniline (PANI). This polymer has outstanding electrical properties that makes it useful for different applications. In this work it is tried to elucidate whether aniline hydrochloride (ANIHCl) in aqueous medium suffer self-association in water and how these combinations affect the polymerization and obtained polymer properties. It will be studyed the properties of the mixture ANIHCl/H2O, the conversion modifications during the polymerization and the properties of PANI. The obtained materials were characterized structural by FT-IR, UV-vis, morphological by SEM, and from the thermal behaviour point of view by TGA analyses.
