Abstract:
The Romanian network of repeat stations for monitoring the geographical and temporal evolution of the geomagnetic field has been reoccupied in three consecutive years, 2009, 2010 and 2011. Measurements were taken by means of a LEMI-204 DIFlux theodolite, a G-856 Geometrics proton magnetometer, a LEMI-018 magnetic variometer and two QHMs. Data have been reduced to the middle of the year based on records of the Surlari geomagnetic observatory. Measurements results are discussed and the geographical distribution of geomagnetic elements is presented. A comparative study of the geomagnetic disturbance recorded at the European network of observatories during the magnetic storm of August, 3-4, 2010, is presented as well.
