Abstract:
In this paper a high voltage high frequency generator for hysteresis loops (HL) measurements in bulk ferroelectric materials is discussed. We intend to cover a lack of data in HL characterization for high frequency range. A multi-stage CMOS design is used to provide a 1000 V (peak to peak) output signal. Sine waves, triangle waves and square waves can be generated at frequencies up to 100 kHz. The output noise is very low. High frequency HL are important in characterization of ferroelectric domains walls mobility, as theirs relaxation time is lower than one millisecond. The influence of wall mobility related to dislocations or other lattice defects can also be reveled by the shape of the HL at higher frequencies.
