Abstract:
We present new results on the properties of dipole modes in neutron rich systems as an outcome of numerical simulations based on Landau-Vlasov equation. We identify the Pygmy Dipole Resonance in Calcium, Nickel and Tin nuclei and deduce a dependence with the mass number of its energy centroid. We show that the energy-weighted sum rule exhausted by this collective mode is sensitive to the density behavior of symmetry energy below saturation which also influence the properties of neutron skin.
