Abstract:
Recently an itinerant ferromagnet undergoing a superconducting transition was discovered in the compound UGe2 which is also a band ferromagnet. The problem of coexistence of superconductivity and ferromagnetism is a challenging one in the theory of solid state physics Based on a model Hamiltonian proposed by Littlewood and an., we analyze this problem at non zero temperatures. It is shown that in mean field approximation the critical temperature is determined only by superconducting coupling constant and the coexistence of phases is also possible.
