Abstract:
The aim of this paper was to develop an operational system in order to have a better estimation on the diffusion of air pollutants produced by surface or point sources. In order to achieve this goal, a chain of two numerical weather prediction models HRM (High resolution Regional Model) and WRF (Weather Research and Forecast) together with CAMX dispersion model(Comprehensive Air Quality Model with Extension)were calibrated for Romanian area. The results show that the estimation of the main pollutants: NO, NOx, SO2, O3 are in good agreement with the measurements.
