Abstract:
The paper proposes a comparative presentation of primary and secondary education between Romania and two other European countries: England and France.
The comparison is made in the frame of ISCED 1997 (International Standard Classification of Education).
The paper proposes to highlight common characteristics and differences that characterize the essential education systems of the three countries in order to find answers to questions targeting education in general and the sciences in particular.
Current trends in teaching science in the three chosen countries concerning schedule and disciplines in the area of science and physics in particular, are emphasized too.
