A Power Series Expansion in Terms of the Inverse of the Frequency for the Quasienergy in the High Frequency Floquet Theory

Abstract:
The possibility to obtain an approximate value for the quasienergy of a Floquet state at high frequencies for various quantum systems has been considered by many authors, among which M. Gavrila, who has developed an iterative procedure which has been extensively used by scientists. Other approaches, such as, for example, an effective time independent Hamiltonian derived by the method of the separation of time scales, have been devised. We use several alternative methods, two of which are based on the expansion of either the monodromy operator or of the Green functions in the Lippmann-Schwinger equation. We test our methods in some exactly solvable cases, such as the Rabi oscillations and the driven harmonic potential.
