Abstract: Human safety and health in recent years has become one of the most substantial and important sectors of EU social policy, and represents the product of individual and group values, of attitudes, skills, behaviors and habits. This study is foccused on human health and contains an analysis of pollution sources, PM10 and PM2.5 concentrations and meteorological parameters into a non-ferrous metallurgic industrial hall. The statistical study of PM10 and PM2.5 was made in connection with the highest incidence of occupational diseases in the elaboration of ferro-alloys. The real-time monitoring of PM10 and PM2.5 allowed to determine the maximum time interval of the workers` exposure. The study of the effects of PM10 and PM2.5 on the health of workers and work environment have shown that the Knowledge of the air quality in the work environment can be used to improve working conditions.
