Abstract:
Physics is a scientific discipline where this VI toolset has been successfully used to perform physics experiments, to support the teaching process in the physics laboratories for student training, and also as a tool in e-learning. Virtual instrumentation based on LabVIEW in performing real mechanics experiments is presented in this article. A wider understanding of virtual instrumentation includes also a variety of the computer based applications for the processes modeling, instrument simulations or execution animations of the measuring systems. The present paper tries to illustrate an example of using a Virtual Instrument tool (created with LabView software) in the teaching process in Physics. The use of LabView in a Physics lessons was illustrated by an experiment of mechanical oscillations.
