Abstract:
The possibility of radio-detection (in the 10 to 100 MHz domain) of ultra-high energy cosmic rays are discussed. Currently, air showers are detected by various methods, mainly based on particle detectors (KASCADE, Auger) or optical detection (Cerenkov radiation). Recently, was proposed to detect radio emission from cosmic ray air showers using electromagnetic radiation in low frequency domain (LOFAR). We are investigating this possibility, using simulation codes created for investigate electromagnetic radiation of intricate antennae structure, for example fractal antennas. Some of the preliminary results will be communicated in this session.
