Abstract:
Via the periodic unfolding method, we shall analyze the macroscopic behavior of the solution of a system of partial differential equations arising in the modeling of reaction-diffusion processes in a periodic composite material formed by two constituents, separated by an imperfect interface. Our setting proves to be relevant for studying heat transfer in composite materials or electrical conduction in biological tissues.
