Abstract:
The aim of this research is to analyse a Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) using the data provided by the Large Angle Spectrometric Coronagraph (LASCO), instrument which is onboard of the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SoHO) mission.
We are going to investigate the properties, propagation and trigger causes of the event observed by LASCO on March 7, 2012 at 00:24 UT.
Two different coronagraphs (C2,C3) are used by the LASCO instrument, each one has a different field of view. C2 and C3 are both external coronagraphs, C2 takes images of the Sun from 1.5−6 solar radii, whereas C3 has an extended field of view up to 30 solar radii.
