Abstract: Photovoltaic Power Plants with Reversible Fuel Cell could represent in the near future an important source of electric and thermal power for its main advantages: it is 100% environmentally friendly; the captured and converted solar energy is considered inexhaustible and free; it can operate in stand-alone mode or connected to the National Power Grid; there is a total control on the electric and thermal power cut; the used technologies continue to cheapen and are constantly improving performances. This paper describes the phenomena and the Photovoltaic Power Plants with Reversible Fuel Cell technology and suggests a constructive solution with equipment already available on the market. The Photovoltaic Power Plant with Reversible Fuel Cell was sized for a maximum electrical power cut of 1MW. It mainly consists of an array of photovoltaic panels with an installed power of 15MWp, a group of DC/AC inverters, electrolysers with PEM for hydrogen producing, the hydrogen storage system and a power generator with fuel cells (Proton Exchange Membrane) with an output of 1MW. In the paper there are made forecasts for the produced powers and energies as well as on the total conversion efficiency.
