Abstract:
In the academic year 2013-2014 Professor Călin BEȘLIU begun the seventy's decade dedicated to the Romanian higher education and scientific research in Physics. During his prodigious educational and research activities Professor Călin BEȘLIU have obtained remarkable scientific results in different Physics fields (Neutron Physics, Particle Physics, Relativistic Nuclear Physics, Applied Physics etc), recognized by the international scientific community. The passion for Physics, the pleasure for communication of scientific knowledge, the excellent understanding of the young generations conferred Professor Călin BEȘLIU the opportunity to be an excellent Physics communicator to the specialists, as well as to the large public. During the time, Professor Călin BEȘLIU introduced new discoveries in the courses, practical classes and seminars increasing significantly the interest of the students. Therefore, more than 300 students selected Professor Călin BEȘLIU as advisor for the Diploma Theses and Dissertation Theses. The excellent abilities as scientist, as well as the charm of the presentations during the courses and conferences offered Professor Călin BEȘLIU the opportunity to advise more than 50 young persons for PhD Theses, as well as more than 100 teachers from general and high schools.All these activities assured Professor Călin BEȘLIU an outstanding career in Higher Education and scientific research in Physics filed, in Romania and abroad. The members of the Atomic and Nuclear Chair wish Professor Călin BEȘLIU - at this important and significant celebration, in the year when the Alma Mater, University of Bucharest, attains 150 years of modern existence and 320 years of tradition - a long active life with successes in all domains!
