Abstract:
The technologies related to the development of new detectors using noble gases represent a very active field of research. These detectors aim to search for rare processes and to image radiation in space and in medicine.
This contribution reports the results of a comparative analysis of the physical properties of argon and xenon in gas and liquid states with impact to detection using the information available at this moment and orientated to the requirements of the new generation of experiments.
