Abstract:
A study of various dimensions (heights) of the samples was done. Influence of the same geometry and the comparison with a standard source, used by dr. A. Luca standard source, dr. A. Luca measured two samples of electrofilter and mecanofilter ash from the same batch, was done.High resolution gamma-ray spectrometry was performed in Laboratory for Testing and Certification of Compliance for Radiopharmaceuticals, Radiochemical and Radioactive Sources Radioisotopes and Radiation Metrology Department (CPRLAB/DRMR/IFIN-HH), Romania, RENAR accredited and CNCAN designated for calibration.Software used: Genie 2000, Gamma Acquisition&Analysis, v.3.2.1, Aug26, 2009, Canberra by Canberra Industrie, GESPECOR v. 4.2. for Monte Carlo Simulation (O. Sima, D. Arnold, C. Dovlete), EFFIGIE for efficiency calculations CEA/LNHB, Saclay, France (Debertin, 1988, Geraldo et al., 1990).The results and the conclusion are described and discussed.
